Follow the Inca Trail from Cusco to Macchu Picchu
edit- Finally got checking out this intra-map navigation due to some unknown changes to map code in October 2020. After several hours have edited links to make it work... the full geoline of the trail no longer available - change in OSM? though trail existed previously. -- Traverse this trail from point to point directly on the map or use a legend to select a location is now working correctly. -- Matroc (talk) 05:04, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

- Or one can directly code using <maplink> or <mapframe>: This method is a bit more complicated or specialized to accomplish. Use this type of coding perhpas if all else fails. I took coordinates from mapshape mentioned above as an example. (also added a hidden marker) and used group and show parameters.. 1. Allentown with mapmask Polygon 2. Allentown as filled Polygon 3. Allentown as LineString Coding would provide basis for crating a map file in Commons. Note: Simpler and easier with existing Templates and to use them as much as possible.
Current Projects
edit- Daily if possible:
- add missing wikidata parameter to listings that have a wikipedia parameter - over a 1000 articles done so far many with 1-15+ city & vicinity markers
- add wikidata ids to regional (city and vicinity) markers
- check and create geo templates -- if needed enter article name in matching wikidata
- check for broken file links
- check for broken maps -- most are now in User: pages
- Fix duplicate parameters in listings -- kept fairly updated
- check double redirects
- check dead links - a few a day if possible
- look for misspellings in articles -- usually around 6 month intervals - using list from Wikipedia
- work with Kartographer and maps -- testing various ideas
