I was born in Port Isabel, Texas in the early 1940s and it has been my lifetime home. I am a retired marine biologist. I spent 4 years in the US Coast Guard (Alameda CA, New York, Miami, Grand Isle LA, Yap WCI) and two years in the Peace Corps (Chile). I travel a lot in Latin America (Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile) and the Cayman Islands, especially in the last several years.
