Lansdowne edit

If you want to experiment with a non-standard page layout, please don't do it on the main space. Please make a new page at User:(WT-en) Ellenlyons/Sandbox/Lansdowne and play around with it there. Otherwise it's going to keep getting changed back to our standard format. Thanks (WT-en) Texugo 23:23, 19 October 2008 (EDT)

I read the standard formatting rules and I do not see why you are making half of the changes you are making. You are also making changes that make absolutely no sense at all such as changing "Lansdowne is easily accessible" to "Lansdowne in easliy accessable". I understand that you are trying to make wikivoyage a better place but I honestly feel that you are taking away from the page I have added to, and all your repeated changes have done is discourage me from ever contributing to wikivoyage again. Before I was given this project I had never even heard of wikivoyage and when I started I got excited to add to this page but you have just frustrated me. Hi there. The misspelling of "accessible" was a mistake, but I'll give you a rundown on my other changes if you like:
  • History section -- I removed copyrighted material copied from www.lansdownesfuture.org/lansdowne/history/. It is forbidden to post copyrighted material. I'm sure your professor would agree.
  • 20th Century Club -- Removed duplication. Attractions should only be listed in one section, and for plays, etc., the See section is the appropriate place.
  • Other Do listings -- We support a bulleted listing format rather than paragraph format, so the traveler can more easily reference something he or she read.
  • Library -- moved to the Cope sections, per Project:Where you can stick it
  • Restaurants -- Collapsed listings into single-line format, as per our style guide.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. (WT-en) Texugo 01:22, 20 October 2008 (EDT)
