Ping response

edit

@Ottawahitech: Hi. What's up? (per your ping). Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 20:02, 18 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Nice to see you now have a local talkpage, and most of all I am glad to see that my ping from Wikivoyage:Travellers'_pub#Wiki_of_functions_naming_contest_-_Round_2 actually found its way to you. In the past I have tried pinging other individuals who had no local presence, and could not tell if they were ignoring me on purpose or whether they simply did not get my pings.
I guess my remaining question to you at the moment is: do you happen to know where someone working on a small wmf-wiki, who has no access to enwiki or Meta, can ask questions about pings/thanks etc. Thanks in advance, Ottawahitech (talk) 16:56, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
Just came across a question I would like to ask someone knowlegeable: I logged into my enwiki account (without meaning to, but that's another story), and my orange talk was on. However, my bell box says that the most recent message is 5 months old, but I actually do have a new message posted to my talk today(which I normally would have only seen in a few weeks, because I no longer login to enwiki regularly).
You are probably no longer in charge of answering these types of questions for wmf-sites, but I would appreciate knowing who I should contact outside of enwiki and Meta. Thanks in advance, Ottawahitech (talk) 20:45, 25 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
Check your preferences to make sure everything is the way it should be, and if that doesn't explain the problem then file a bug report on phabricator. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 02:08, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
