Wallace is a small town in rural Lincoln County Nebraska, with a population of 366 (2010).

Wallace is a small farming community located in extreme southwestern Lincoln County, along the Burlington Northern Railroad line. The town celebrated its centennial in 1987.

Wallace is near the crossroads of Nebraska highways 23 and 25, each of which is a two-lane blacktop road. Highway 25 continues south into Kansas, eventually meeting up with Interstate 70.

  • Johnson Memorial Building. The hall was built in 1921 as a memorial to John R. Johnston, a resident of Pennsylvania who was prominent in the glass industry. Johnston came to Wallace annually for twenty-four years to hunt and fish. His family and friends built the hall as a memorial after Johnston died of tuberculosis in 1920 at the age of fifty-three. The hall was designed by F. W. Fitzpatrick, a nationally known architect. Listed on the National Historic Register.

25 miles south of Wallace on Highway 25, the Grand Duke Alexis Rendezvous is held each July. The rendezvous is set up near the original site of the 1872 buffalo hunt when the U.S. Army commissioned the young scout Buffalo Bill to entertain the Grand Duke Alexis of Russia.
