  • Delete. I uploaded a more detailed map, this one is fairly useless for travel (WT-en) cacahuate talk 02:21, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Delete on en, but keep a copy on shared for other languages. I have to say the replacement map isn't all that much better either, mostly because it uses the "old" (real) names instead of the atoll codes -- this map off Wikipedia is better, esp. as it even lists all the hotels. I'm not entirely convinced about its claimed "PD" status though. (WT-en) Jpatokal 03:15, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Delete - Cape Town is not nearly ready to be divided into suburbs/districts and this article does not really add anything of value to the traveler --(WT-en) NJR_ZA 09:47, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Redirect. How about setting up a redirect to Cape Town? (WT-en) WindHorse 09:43, 17 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Redirect to Cape Town. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 12:53, 29 July 2007 (EDT)

Looks like a copyvio and might anyway not be according to our style. Delete. --(WT-en) Flip666 writeme! 06:40, 20 July 2007 (EDT)

  • Three out of four images on the Xel-Ha page have text printed over them, so look like copyright violations. I found the restaurant one on the resort's own pages. Speedy delete all three? (WT-en) Pashley 12:41, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Delete all 3 - For now I have removed them where they were used on the Xel-Ha article --(WT-en) NJR_ZA 18:01, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Delete, delete, and delete some more. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 22:44, 26 July 2007 (EDT)
  • An article about a mountain in the Andes. Text copyvioed from Wikipedia . Recommend redirecting to Andes. (WT-en) WindHorse 21:13, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Redirect to Andes sounds right as this is not an article. And as a heads up, the anon came around and undid the vfd and copyvio removal on the article. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 22:44, 26 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Nah, just delete it. This isn't a destination, and a redirect doesn't really make sense. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 20:47, 29 July 2007 (EDT)
This is an attraction (for trekking), as a quick google search will show, and the outcome of this rather lengthy discussion was that we should redirect whenever possible for anything that could be an actual place/attraction (but restaurants and hotels still get the speedy). --(WT-en) Peter Talk 01:36, 30 July 2007 (EDT)

I don't know much about this road, but it looks like a non-article to me. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 15:47, 10 July 2007 (EDT)

Unsure. There are quite a lot of articles about the route, so it could be developed into a travel topic: and . Where is our South Africa expert?: NJR_ZA. --- (WT-en) WindHorse 12:32, 12 July 2007 (EDT) 20:57, 11 July 2007 (EDT)
Delete - I think the article as it stands is just about complete; it is long, hot and boring with very little of interest along the way. Travelers may use portions of it to get around, but I don't think it requires it's own article. --(WT-en) NJR_ZA 05:52, 12 July 2007 (EDT)
Delete based on NJR_ZA's recommendation. (WT-en) WindHorse 12:36, 12 July 2007 (EDT)
DeleteI am not a wikiT member, but I think this article doesn't deserve any right on its own!! - I think the article as it stands is just about complete. FYI I have been traveling this route!!! —The preceding comment was added by (WT-en) 88.105.31.154 (talkcontribs)
Keep The only reason I put this in is because the highway can be an important connection for people who want a "quick" connection between Windhoek and Gaberone. It is one of the main highways in southern Africa, even if it is long and boring. When I drove it 2 years ago, I was glad to have seen a description of it in Lonely Planet. -German Guy
Keep. NJR writes "Travelers may use portions of it to get around, but I don't think it requires it's own article." OK, but it does no harm and some travellers might use the info, so I don't think it requires deletion either. (WT-en) Pashley 12:49, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
OK, how about Redirect to Botswana and move the little bit of info on that page to Botswana#Get_around? I just can't see how this page can every grow beyond it's current content in order to become a real article
Fine by me. (WT-en) Pashley 10:20, 26 July 2007 (EDT)
Undecided. To me the question isn't whether an itinerary article is "interesting," it's whether it's "valuable." How long does this thing take, and how many people use it? If the answer is "several days" and "more than the occasional vehicle," I could see the article expanding into an itinerary, "long, hot and boring" or not. More info, please. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 12:51, 29 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Redirect to Botswana. The creator of the article says above that its main purpose is to connect Windhoek and Gaberone... so it can be mentioned then in the "Get in" sections on those pages, and in "Get around" on the Botswana page. I don't think we should create articles on roads, unless they're a part of an itinerary with a point of view. If you were traversing California from north to south, Highway 1 could make a good itinerary, because it's a route someone would take because of the journey, and for what there is to see along the way. Interstate 5, however, would just be mentioned on the California page, because you would most likely take that if you were just trying to get from point A to point B. So if it has more in common with Hwy 1 than I-5, someone speak up... At any rate we don't seem to have a consensus to keep, which is what is needed (WT-en) cacahuate talk 19:29, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
  • Outcome: Info merged into Botswana#Get around and article Redirected to Botswana --(WT-en) NJR_ZA 14:03, 12 August 2007 (EDT)

Laying aside possible copyvio issues, we don't usually use non-photographic clip art to illustrate destination articles. If someone can find an actual photo of the dance in question, that's OK, but ... -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 21:56, 26 July 2007 (EDT)

  • Actually, this looks to me like a well intentioned contribution. And since Galmudug is a region of Somalia (with its own government and some degree of sovereignty no less), I say keep and add a region template, but remove most of the current information, as it is not travel relevant. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 18:12, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Keep. It is an actual region that is seeking to gain semi-independent status within a united Somalia. See WP article for reference: . (WT-en) WindHorse 20:49, 27 July 2007 (EDT)

Anna Nagar is a suburb of Chennai. In the future it might be worth considering it as an independent article, However, as Chennai has not yet been split into districts and Anna Nagar has no major attractions, I recommend redirect to Chennai for the time being. Here's the WP article on Anna Nagar for reference: . (WT-en) WindHorse 08:29, 25 July 2007 (EDT)

  • Keep, at least for now. We are somewhat inconsistent in the way we handle suburbs of large cities. However, if it really is a suburb (and I realize that the term connotes different things in different places), the norm seems to be that if someone goes to the effort of creating a page for the suburb, it stays put, until a more integrated approach to the metropolitan area is taken. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 09:59, 26 July 2007 (EDT)
  • Redirect. I agree with Jani, I would really prefer to see districting & regioning done systematically, it can be a major pain to undo ad hoc districting when creating a valid district scheme. --(WT-en) Peter Talk
  • Redirect. I authored this article and I think it should be redirected to Chennai.

Keep!! The people aren't travellers, but Lao people working there. Tourists don't just go to see buildings and places--the most interesting thing are the people. Also, this is important because it is the only place in the world travellers can get Luang Prabang coffee.

  • Delete. According to laws in many countries any photo with recognizable people requires a release from those people explicitly stating that the photo can be published. Is a road, so doesn't warrant an article. Besides that, there's not much info here of use to travellers. Could potentially be an itinerary, but I'm not convinced there's enough information for that. -- (WT-en) Tim (writeme!) 08:50, 13 August 2007 (EDT)

Two (different) articles on the same place: St. Andrews, Scotland and St Andrews. Content from the first has now been merged into the second. Delete or Redirect? I would say delete, but it was fairly significant content, so I'm not sure. (WT-en) WTDuck2 15:43, 14 August 2007 (EDT)

  • The norm in situations like this is to merge and redirect. The "St. Andrews, Scotland" title is formatted the way Wikipedia (among others) handles place names, and while we use a different formatting, people used to Wikipedia would do searches using this format. A redirect to St Andrews (which itself might need examination for a possible disambiguation) helps us be responsive to their needs, and costs nothing. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 11:19, 17 August 2007 (EDT)
OK, that makes sense. And the disambiguation is probably a good idea, because there's also a St. Andrews page (with .), which is a different place in Canada. (WT-en) WTDuck2 06:22, 19 August 2007 (EDT)

I am not sure what to do with this page... Seems like a list of some (all?) major bus lines in Australia, without any comments. Difficult to keep up to date. But on the other hand it might be handy, because the company running the respective line is listed. What do you think? I am unsure. --(WT-en) Flip666 writeme! 05:35, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
