Hello, Silviac! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.
Thanks for your contributions to Argentinian articles so far! ϒpsilon (talk) 13:32, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- Dear Ypsilon, Thank you. I'm a teacher of English and most of what I am uploading has been written by students at the courses I coordinate. So thanks to them too!
- There is one detail I would like to edit but I don't know how: there is an article about Península Valdes, but in fact the name is spelt Valdés, with a stress on the "e". I have corrected it in the text, but I have no idea if I can even edit the title. Could you help me? Thanks in advance --Silviac (talk) 20:09, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, the title of the page can be changed, but not as easily as text. Pages can be moved to a new name using the Move function, found under "More" in the upper right corner. On the other hand, Wikipedia uses the English translation Valdes Peninsula, so perhaps this would be better? Ps. Gracias a vos estudiantes también. :) ϒpsilon (talk) 20:30, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, I've made the change. I decided to leave the name in Spanish, although it is very similar to English, because it is the one people should look for and recognise when they come here. I'll say thanks to the students from you. They are all senior adults, and loved doing this. --Silviac (talk) 20:42, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
