The Moselle valley[dead link] (Moseltal) is largely in Rhineland-Palatinate. The source of the Moselle river is in the Vosges mountains of French Alsace and it then flows north before reaching Germany at Perl and forming the border with Rhineland-Palatinate and Luxembourg.

editThe main road (B49, B53) runs along side the river alternating between the left and right banks.

editThe Moselstrecke [formerly dead link] runs from Koblenz to Bullay mainly on the left (North) bank of the Mosel before leaving the valley to return at Trier.
