Talk:Ayutthaya
Needs some serious work
editThis article needs serious help-- Ayutthaya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a serious tourist destination for Thailand. Beyond the fact that the article doesn't match our style manual, it is extremely bloated with detailed historical information copied from the Thai tourism authority and also with information that should be sorted and placed in other articles or deleted altogether. I've started chipping away at it, but I'd really appreciate some help. (WT-en) Texugo 03:44, 19 October 2008 (EDT)
- As per our COTM this month, I'm going to work a lot on Ayutthaya to get most of this mess sorted out. Once I'm done with all the article moving, I'll get to clean up some articles like these. Horrible to see Ayutthaya in a state like this. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 00:44, 3 February 2010 (EST)
- Started pretty brutal by cutting an enormous amount of listings to Talk:Ayutthaya/Listings. Still, I didn't even do the See page yet, so even more listings will have to be sorted out. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 00:53, 3 February 2010 (EST)
TAT Listings
editI am cleaning up Ayutthaya. I'll move TAT listings and other clutter to Talk:Ayutthaya/Listings for future reference. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 10:40, 7 February 2010 (EST)
luggage storage
editIs there anywhere secure to store luggage for half a day or so, preferably near Ayutthaya train station? (For example, taking a break enroute when travelling by train between Chiang Mai and Bangkok, where can you leave your luggage while you go cycle the ruins?)
Distributing images more evenly
editRight now, most of the photos are bunched up and there is a lot of page space with no images. Anyone who would like to work on distributing photos more evenly throughout the article per Wikivoyage:Image policy#Minimal use of images would be doing a good service. 85 or 76 km?
editAt the beginning of the article the distance from Bangkok is given as 85 km. Later, at the beginning of the See section, it is given as 76 km. --FredTC (talk) 08:45, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
