Merge to Cévennes National Park?
editI created Cévennes National Park not realising that Cévennes already existed. However, as the national park by far the more common name used, should they be merged? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 06:25, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Typically, national parks cover a smaller area than the region or habitat they're named after, so it would be worth checking that's not the case here before merging. The mapshape on your article looks different to the boundaries on the static map here, and there are two separate Wikipedia articles (W:Cévennes and W:Cévennes National Park).--ThunderingTyphoons! - Oh yes, didn't look at that. The boundary found on Google Maps seems a bit confusing and I was mistaken. I'll remove the merge tag then. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 12:13, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- Depending on how much potential for expansion each article has, you could always merge the NP page into this one.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 12:27, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- I dunno if it's just me, but I often think that all national parks should have its own article, even if it's completely within a city. They sometimes require separate fees and permits, and many like me go specifically for the national park – I for one, am doing that with US National Parks having visited 17 so far.
