Consensus needed according to someone

Apparently when editing stubs contributors here should not be bold, but extremely cautious. Apparently I need to get consensus in a yet-to-be-created talk page of a 2-edits-per-year-entry to remove Santa Lucía (!!!!) in a list of cities of Castile and León for a touristical guide. Do we even have to discuss this? There are even 10 cities in the list, exceeding the sacrosanct limit of 9. Strakhov (talk) 17:11, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

In bottom-level regions (right above individual destinations themselves) there's no 7 2 limit but all of them should be listed. Ypsilon (talk) 17:26, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

Generally not, articles should be added as they're created and long lists of redlinks don't look good. The exception would be destinations that really should have their own article, but you feel you don't have time/enough knowledge/whatever to create one. --Ypsilon (talk) 17:44, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

According to 7 2 "The 7±2 rule is most stringently applied to lists of cities and other destinations for countries, continents and non-bottom-level regions". As far as I understand "is most stringently applied" doesn't mean it cannot be applied in bottom-level regions too. IMHO including that uninspiring entry about "Santa Lucía" in a list lacking Arévalo, Benavente, Aranda de Duero, Cuéllar, Pedraza, Ponferrada, Béjar, Ciudad Rodrigo, Ledesma, Lerma, Peñaranda de Duero, Aguilar de Campoo and dozens of villages more meaningful from a touristic point of view than a town that is yet-to-be-photographed-in-Commons (and a town which may be unknown to the 99% of the Spaniards) is not reasonable to me. And Castile and León, one of the most vast regions of Spain, may be very well splitted into sub-regions in the future. Anyway, I've added the only ones that already existed and weren't listed yet. Why "Castile-Leon" and not "Castile and Leon"?

The Spanish is "Castilla y León", Wikipedia uses "Castile and Leon". The hyphenated version seems like our own invention Ground Zero (talk) 12:47, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
