Pagebanner

This is a view of Manhattanville College in Purchase. It's described here as "Purchase, Harrison, NY". This article does not cover Purchase. So it should have a different pagebanner, or failing that, a default pagebanner. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:39, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Purchase is a hamlet in the town of Harrison. Hamlets have no legal existence. They are simply place names. Purchase isn't even a census-designated place (CDP). I question whether it should even have its own article, though I realize this opinion does not match WV policy which demands that we ignore legal boundaries.

All this ranting aside, I don't think the current banner is a problem, but I don't object to it being replaced. Nelson Ricardo (talk) 02:02, 11 June 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, we don't care about legal existences. Purchase is a recognized place - I should know, as I used to live there and go to SUNY at Purchase. So if you want to merge these two articles, give an argument based on the interests of the traveler. But I can tell you, we SUNY at Purchase students did not consider Harrison the same town as Purchase. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:27, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
