Wikipedia link edit

I was looking at this article earlier tonight and wasn't quite certain that the Wikipedia link points to the right article. Shouldn't it be pointing to w:Ercolano instead of w:Herculaneum? The former is about the modern town, the latter about the Roman town. -- Ryan • (talk) • 07:20, 24 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

The majority of the article is about the archaeological site Herculaneum in Ercolano than about Ercolano itself - Commons link should be changed to Herculaneum, Wikipedia link to Herculaneum is OK. Probably could use an article on Ercolano in Wikivoyage. Both have Wikidata entities as well. My thoughts -- Matroc (talk) 07:41, 24 December 2015 (UTC) -- perhaps some minor wording changes in this article as well...Reply
There is no Commons link to Herculaneum. I changed the Commons link to the Category:Ercolano, as the category is, as far as I can see, always superior to the Commons guide, if any. Anyway, no kidding that this article is mostly about the excavations, because people are not visiting the city mainly to see the modern part. But that doesn't mean we should completely ignore the modern part. Any good trattorie, bars, etc. should be mentioned. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:21, 24 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
