Talk:Himalayan North

Article title

...just a suggestion. The title Himalayan North implies that the article discusses the northern part of the Himalayas, which it does not. The northern part of the Himalayas is in Tibet/China. All parts of the Himalaya that are in India, Nepal and Bhutan are actually the south or south facing part of the mountain range. If you want to distinguish the states included in this article from those of the plains, I think just 'Himalayan' would be a more accurate title. Anyway, this is just a suggestion. Sorry forgot to answer this.. Problem is, the Himalayas stretch all the way till the east of India, so I wanted to make it clear that it was the Himalayan part of North India that was being covered. Banner from wrong region

The banner image is not from a place covered by this article. It is from near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, North-Eastern India. Nurg (talk) 02:04, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

The banner was added at Wikidata, in which case it overrules the default banner here. I have removed it from there, so the default banner should display correctly now. Vidimian (talk) 22:01, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

(Almost?) every guide in Wikivoyage has a link to the corresponding Wikidata item on the left side of the screen, inside the "Tools" section. For example, your hometown links to this data item. When you open it, you can see a main header which says "Statements". Under that header you will see a box saying "Wikivoyage banner", if there is a banner associated with the guide in question and if that banner is already added to Wikidata. You can change or altogether remove the banner by editing that statement. (The Big Apple's data item is a little too crowded, so you can also check out the one for the Plains of India region for easier reference.) Vidimian (talk) 23:20, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
