Alternative banner for this article?

edit

old banner currently used in this article

suggested new banner (which is currently used in the parallel article in the Hebrew Wikivoyage)

In the Hebrew Wikivoyage we are currently using this banner instead of the one which is currently used here. Do you think too that this banner would would better than the existing one? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 02:42, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

The existing one is not super awesomely great, but it's better than just one more cityscape that could be almost anywhere. Texugo (talk) 02:54, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, it's interesting, and the new banner is a bit hazy and features a lot of boring modern highrises. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:51, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Alternative alternative

edit

Re-crop and flip of current banner.

Similar to the current banner, but the building looks sharper due to the wider crop and isn't behind the article title anymore.

I don't like impossible views. If this is a left right flip it may be an impossible view. • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 20:10, 6 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
It is a flipped image, but I imagine it's a pretty close approximation of what the view would look like from 15 feet to the right of where the photo was taken.

Bread?

edit

"If you are going to a café it is recommended to try some of the local bread, it's of great quality and there are many different kinds to choose from. " I've always lived in Montevideo, and I can't figure out what they mean by that. Neither can anyone I asked. In cafes, you get pre-packaged, mass produced bread. —The preceding comment was added by Diego bf109 (talkcontribs)

pf. I didn't either notice any special local bread in Montevideo when visiting. ϒpsilon (talk) 17:47, 3 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
