Rental listings
editPlease allow Quam Properties Hawaii, Inc as a vacation rental listing under the "sleep" section. I believe they meet the requirements for an exception to the real estate listing ban. I have started this talk page to that effect. (see list of requirements [[1]])
Vacation rental properties are a very common accommodations on Maui, hundreds of condos, town homes, and villas are managed by realtors for owners. These properties are available for as little as 5 days at a time. There is an entire section of the local craigslist dedicated to advertising them, Maui Vacation Rentals on Craigslist
Quam has a physical address in Napili where guests collect keys, speak to managers, can be reached by phone, etc. It is at the bottom of every page of their website. —The preceding comment was added by (WT-en) Amy mci (talk • contribs)
- Provided that this article doesn't become an advertisement then rental listings are probably OK, but if things should eventually get out of hand then I would argue strongly that there are plenty of traditional lodging options (hotel, resort, etc) and that we may want to reconsider the value of rental listings. Amy, any general information that you could add to this article that would aid a traveler in picking amongst rental companies (types of properties offered, what differentiates one company from the next, who owns the properties being rented, pricing differences between rentals at different locations or times of year, etc) would be appreciated and would lessen the likelihood of the section being removed in the future. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 15:51, 15 October 2010 (EDT)

I created a banner from the Commons category Napili-Honokowai for our Napili article, but I'm not sure if the two places called "Napili" are the same place. Wikidata has two separate entries, Q2370737 and Q6964940. Could someone clarify that both are the same and therefore the page banner is in the right place for the Napili article? Thanks. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:02, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
- The image description says "Kahana sunset", and w:Napili-Honokowai, Hawaii suggests that Kahana is adjacent to Nāpili and both are part of Napili-Honokowai. I don't know whether or not our Napili article covers Kahana. —Granger (talk · contribs) 20:12, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
- I did a quick search on Wikivoyage and there is no article for "Kahana" here. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:20, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
- Another, though more minor, concern I have is whether or not this image from Commons, which is categorized under Waikapu, is really showing that place. The reason I have concern is that I cropped the page banner for Waikapu from that image. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:22, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
- As demonstrated at OpenStreetMap, Waikapu is a suburb of Wailuku which is turn a sort-of suburb of Kahului. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 20:26, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
