Changing banner photo

edit

I recently changed the banner photo for this article to a crop of one I'd taken recently, as it was in much higher resolution than the existing one, and demonstrated more interesting features of the town. Ikan Kekek reverted asking for me to get consensus, so... are there any objections to changing the photo? I certainly think the one I took is more interesting and, having been there, a better representation of what the area's like and what there is to see/do. Possibly the biggest thing that's different here from other wikis for me is the "anti-template policy", but oh well. But yeah otherwise this wiki is a quiet one. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 07:11, 30 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
I don't know this town, but I tend to think the existing banner has more character. The panorama doesn't seem so unique. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:04, 30 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Fair. From my time in the town I got the impression that the main things were the surrounding nature and environment, oil/gas/coal extraction, and the history surrounding that. Not sure a natural gas well would be a great representation of the community, so I thought that showing its position in the surrounding environment made sense.
Guess it's more clear if you're there in person, though. When I visited I wasn't really thinking about Wikivoyage so I didn't try to take any pictures for that exact purpose. Elli (talk) 22:08, 30 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
