Talk:Puerto Galera

Latest comment: 1 year ago by Pashley in topic Seaplanes?

This article needs some work doing. Listings are all over the place with masseuses interspersed with Dive Shops, etc. An important destination. Can anybody help? (WT-en) Shep 03:04, 31 January 2010 (EST)

I'll try to but I'm kind of busy with Negros Occidental and Bacolod, I've organized it however I'll try to improve it even though I haven't been to Puerto Galera. (WT-en) SnappyHip 13:50, 09 February 2010 (GST)

More on girlie bars?

edit

Friends who are into such things tell me Puerto Galera and Mango Avenue in Cebu are now much the best places in the country for these bars. Areas that were fairly amazing when they were near US bases during the Vietnam War (Air Force in Angeles and Navy in Subic) are now nasty, heavily commercialized, and full of Korean & Middle Eastern tourists. Even ex-servicemen with some fond memories do not like what they have become. Manila has lots of rent-a-hottie services but is not generally a pleasant place to visit.

Should we give more info on such bars as we do at Thailand#Prostitution? Pashley (talk) 07:26, 2 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Seaplanes?

edit

I just removed a paragraph, preserving it here:

A more expensive alternative is to arrive by seaplane. Air Juan[dead link] fly from Manila airport or Coron to Puerto Galera. Subic Seaplane are primarily a charter airline; at one time they had scheduled flights from Subic, but as of December 2018 those are not available.

Air Juan's website appears dead & their Facebook page was last updated in 2020. The Subic Seaplane Facebook page linked above no longer exists. They do have a website that mentions Puerto Galera, but the only transport option it describes is bus & ferry. Pashley (talk) 13:57, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
