Parking
edit@StellarD: Thanks for adding geotags! However, I'm not so sure about the second one (green Number 4): 1) when I was there last spring, this area was not available for parking – but maybe this has changed since then? 2) In that sentence I was talking about the parking spaces directly along the Paseo Luis Lavaggi. To reach the parking spaces (if they are indeed there), you'll have to follow the instructions that follow in the text: turn left at the traffic light into what Openstreetmap calls Calle Mequinez and go up the hill, then go right to reach the green marker No. 3 or left to reach green marker No. 4. I'd like to clarify this in the text, but as mentioned above, I haven't seen that area being used for parking. If you've been there recently, can you confirm that you can actually park there? - Hi @El Grafo: I visited Puerto de la Cruz at the end of this past November. I tried to place your geotags as accurately as possible following your directions, but it seems I misunderstood and No. 4 may be incorrectly placed (Google satellite view appears to show limited parking there). No. 3 is definitely correct with lots of parking on both sides of the lighthouse (I walked by that area along the seawall, but only as far as the football field/stadium). Thanks for pointing out my mistake, and please feel free to relocate whichever geotags you think need to be moved! –StellarD (talk) 10:01, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi @StellarD:, thanks for the quick reply! I've moved the marker to the area I was writing about. That other area is also marked as a parking lot on openstreetmap, but I tend towards not trusting that at the moment. In any case, if it is available for parking it'll be nearly impossible to miss while on your way to the large, semi-paved parking lot in the east, so I guess it doesn't really need a marker anyway. I'll try to remember marking that area for local review on OSM as well, though. Cheers, --El Grafo (talk) 13:56, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
Redundancy
editStellarD: the town was established only once, not twice or many times, so "established" and "first established" mean the same thing. Let's avoid redundancy and aim for livelier writing per WV:tone. Ground Zero (talk) 11:20, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
