Restaurant Ulpia

I removed this listing:

• Ulpia, Overlooking the West end of Trajan's Market, Mercati Trianei (Go down the steps near Largo Magnanapoli where Via Nazionale and Via IV Novembre join. Turn left on Via Sant Eufemia. It is on your left (the North side) just before the road dead ends.). In a delightful location you might expect that the food could be second rate but Ulpia does not disappoint. Both food and service are good. A wide choice of menu items and a varied wine list and you can eat inside if the weather is too cold to enjoy the terrace over Trajan's Market. The inside has heavy Roman decorations. Lunch, including a bottle of good wine €35.

Imperial Forum

This is mostly a placeholder to remind me to add a listing for this incredible attraction, which is separate from though connected to the Roman Forum, but I would love it if anyone else took the lead on this, as it will require a fair amount of typing! Also, a recommended amount of time to spend on those two fora plus the Palatine Hill should be included. I'd say 3 hours. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:03, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

how cool, how epic that you've been there. Through YouTube archaeological channels, I've seen a lot of newly opened nice sites in the place, the Forma Urbis, the house of Tiberius and the mausoleum of Augustus come to mind, and the Column of Phocas surrounded by scaffolding inside the Forum Romanum, too. I've been to Rome twice, with very little time, and have yet to enter the Forums and the Vatican Museums to sniff around as much as I'd like. It will be joyfully great to get to update Roman Empire too. Ibaman (talk) 23:30, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Good point.

A lot of the work on these sites was done between 1998 and 2000. The last time I was in Italy was 1998, so the Imperial Fora were not visitable then. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:43, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
