Reason I deleted walks (which I added years ago) is that going to the start by dolmuş not a good idea with covid

Doubtful - passenger ferries exist?

edit

What ‘irregular passenger ferries’? Chidgk1 (talk) 12:03, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

That line was added in June 2022, so is relatively recent. I don't know if they were what the contributor, Jonte--, was thinking, but there were indeed ferries (albeit, regular) from Istanbul to Rize or Hopa at the farthest end of the Turkish coast, calling at all major towns along their route. But these ferries were discontinued in the early 2000s (I think), probably after the construction of the coastal highway and numerous airports along the coast, as well as liberalisation of the domestic air transport, rendered them obsolete.
Maybe there are seasonal excursion boats from nearby towns? Or ferries from Ukraine or other Black Sea nations? Vidimian (talk) 14:05, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I deleted it but if anyone has better ferry info please let us know Chidgk1 (talk) 08:29, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Atakum olympic swimming pool

edit

I copied the info below from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atakum_Olympic_Swimming_Pool because it seems more suitable here so I will propose the Wikipedia article be deleted. I am trying to find out opening times - if I can find out I will put some of the below in the article too

@Chidgk1: this is Wikivoyage, not Wikipedia. What has all that got to do with a travel guide? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 08:49, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
A lot of it is not relevent but I copied it all to this talk page so that the relevent info can be put in the article. Chidgk1 (talk) 06:59, 11 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
But this specific listing, for the most part, is OOS for Wikivoyage. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 12:07, 14 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I just found out that foreigners are not allowed (except possibly for organized competitions) - so we can forget this anyway Chidgk1 (talk) 07:54, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Province info can be put here?

edit

I might visit spa(s) in Havza - so if any are worthy of inclusion I guess they could go here as this article could also cover Samsun Province as well as the city? Similarly if I find the spa in Fatsa in Ordu Province is worth including it could go in the Ordu article I guess? Chidgk1 (talk) 07:56, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

It depends. If Havza has enough sights, attractions, restaurants, accommodation, etc to support at least a basic article, you may start Havza and list the spas there. If not, and you've found them worthy of mentioning on Wikivoyage, list them at the article for the nearest town (which I presume is Samsun). Vidimian (talk) 11:00, 7 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Return to "Samsun" page.
