Too small for stand-alone article

@LPfi: There has been frequent discussions about organization of articles for villages and small towns in Norway. Many towns are simply too small for substantial articles and are better included in the article for a nearby bigger town or in an article about a natural district such as Lofoten. @Erik den yngre: I am aware of that. Still, I though an individual remote cottage was not relevant for Northern Norway, but should be placed at the lowest level. Skjervøy was (red)linked from Troms, so I supposed it had been deemed interesting enough for an article. I could not find any other hints on what the nearest city (Tromsø?) or natural district would be. I supposed some of the neighbouring areas should probably be included, but as I don't know the area well enough, I did not do anything to really include them. Do you think Skaga belongs in Troms? Tromsø?

If we want to have the division as stated in Troms#Regions, then we should (red)link the regions, rephrase Tromsø to include the surroundings, transform Harstad into South Troms, merge Bardufoss and Senja into Inland Troms and Senja (keeping Senja separate would make a more elegant article name), and merge Karlsøy, Skjervøy and Lyngen into North Troms (and have Lyngen and Skjervøy Nearby/Go next destinations in Tromsø instead of Do/Get around).

Until those regions are created, we don't have anywhere to put listings for places other than the few for which we have articles – except a non-intuitive "nearby" city 6 hr away. Check Wikivoyage:Geographical hierarchy#Overlap and Gaps.

While writing this answer, I noted that, in fact, Tromsø describes getting to Lyngen (in Do – but why isn't Lyngen merged then?) and to Skjervøy (in Get around:By ferry), but it and Troms do little to hint that Tromsø includes North Troms. If the articles are tidied up in this respect, it is much easier to add listings where they belong.

Lyngen (Lyngen penninsula) is something special and an attraction, so it can be regarded as a distinct destination. One part of the penninsula formally belongs to Tromsø city. In terms of transport Skjervøy could be included in a article about northeastern Troms along with Kvænangen, Reisadalen, Sørkjosen and Øksfjord penninsula. But at present Troms article does not have much content so I recommend that small items like Skjervøy placed in Troms article until we break out separate article on northeastern Troms. In general I think there are too many articles about small "items" in Norway. Information should instead be organized by "natural" areas or destinations, for instance as dictated by transport options. The area between Lyngenfjord and Alta is perhaps a natural area - it is a fine area but even for such a wide area there is not a lot of content for an article.
