Right. I'm not an editor of Wikivoyage, and don't really intend on becoming one, but I thought I'd point out that Tinganes is not the location of the parliament but of the government offices. The parliament is in lögtingshúsið, I believe. However, the name Tinganes does imply that the parliament used to sit there, as if it means the same as Þinganes would in Icelandic (I'm Icelandic), it means parliament peninsula. So I don't really want to edit it, as I don't know the truth of the matter, apart from what's located at Tinganes today. See www.tinganes.fo --Sterio

I agree. Tinganes is where you find red houses with green roofs. The parliament is where the marker and the street address are but this is clearly not waterfront (and let us hope it will never be) and not something to visit. I changed this entry to an entry on Tinganes. Michael63-osm (talk) 21:24, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Alternative banners

Current banner

#1

#2

What would you say about adding a more colourful banner to this article? I have two new suggestions, from which I prefer #2 (although perhaps nicer colours and better composition, I feel #1 is slightly out of focus). They are both typical views when coming by ship. --Danapit (talk) 09:15, 26 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

If there are no objections, I'll go ahead and use alternative banner #2 later today. --Danapit (talk) 07:24, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
  1. 1 is prettier, though. I'm not seeing the lack of focus on my screen. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:48, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
All right, I quite like both, so #1 it is. --Danapit (talk) 07:42, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
