Merge?

I assume that you mean merge up to Lower_Saxon_Wadden_Sea_National_Park ? My only concern is that it looks like a pretty large park.... --Andrewssi2 (talk) 21:33, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

Well the Wadden Sea is actually three official government designated existing national parks, that do exist as a coherent unit (and have been named world heritage by UNESCO), so I see no good reason for splitting that up if that's what you propose... No reason for merging and I can't see any meaningful way of merging to Lower_Saxon_Wadden_Sea_National_Park. Just as Andrewssi2 points out, the NP is a huge area stretching from the Dutch border to the Elbe estuary, so pasting a couple of random POIs from Varel wouln't be a great service to the traveler. Furthermore, Varel / Dangast is a valid tourist destination at the North Sea coast, although preferred by Germans rather than foreign visitors. One possibility would be some kind of small regional article covering Jadebusen (Jade Bight) - including Varel / Dangast, Wilhelmshaven, Butjadingen and possibly Stadland, but this is an option which I find is not very good. Wilhelmshaven would deserve its own article at one point and Butjadingen while being quite a touristy destination with Germans, doesn't see many international visitors either. But Varel / Dangast itself can be expanded a bit and I can attend the task once having a little free time. --Danapit (talk) 08:03, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
