Too many photos

This article currently contains 44 photos, far far more than our policy recommends. It would be a nightmare to pull up on a dial-up connection. I'd like to see this cut down to about 10 photos if not less. Any thoughts? (WT-en) Texugo 22:53, 3 January 2008 (EST)

• While I agree this fellow added a bit too many photo's, they are all very good and one would have a difficult time picking which ones to eliminate. He made the trip in 30 days which seems about right for a young person with limited time. I think this is another case for adding a gallery at the bottom of a page. By being at the bottom, that should not present any problem with connection speed. Better yet, if wikivoyage could load like photoshop layers, layer 1-text, layer 2-photo's, layer 3 ads, that may be a solution, dunno. My main concern with this article is the photos I checked seemed to have no license. Maybe we should contact the contibutor before doing any editing and ask for his assitance. Why is this an article?

Seems idiosyncratic. Perhaps the article would work as one in a series on traveling across the US but as a 30 day trip? Starting in, of all the places, Schnectady?--(WT-en) Wandering 10:40, 4 January 2008 (EST)

Not only is Schenectady an odd place to begin, the itinerary basically involves driving as quickly as possible to the eastern Rockies and spending 3/4 of the trip in the western half of the country. I agree...way too much time is spent in the western states. You are completely leaving out the entire eastern half of the the country...the half where 3/4ths of the populations lives!!! How can you leave out the Washington!! And other places, like: Boston, Buffalo (Niagra Falls), the Appalachian Mountains, Charleston (SC), Florida, New Orleans, Texas, Santa Fe, and others. I think the title should be changed to something like "30 Days USA Nature Tour" or something similar. Then we should remove the cities and add some more interesting natural sights, such as Niagara Falls and Monument Valley. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 10:36, 22 June 2010 (EDT)

Rename
