editWikivoyage has a policy about images that we should consider Wikivoyage:Image policy:
- "Don't get overexcited adding images to articles. Travellers may be using Wikivoyage from networks with low bandwidth, or with a cost for every MB used. Minimal use of images doesn't mean none. Instead, it means enough images to illustrate the text and show some of the highlights but not so many as to overwhelm the text and turn the article into a photo gallery....
- "Prefer pictures which are representative for what a location looks like today. Avoid obsolete pictures, which for instance depict buildings which have been torn down. "
The image of the mansion that used to be there isn't relevant for travellers to Watford today, and would fit better in a Wikipedia article.
The images of a bus and a train and a highway look like a bus, a train and a highway. Pur readers understand what these things are and font beed pictures to explain them.
These images should be removed. Ground Zero (talk) 21:34, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- I have removed three of the images in get in, but probably more should go. The image of the mansion can be removed - the page banner has a modern view of the grounds of the mansion which is now a park. AlasdairW (talk) 22:34, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
