I grew up in Kolar Gold Fields and later moved to Bangalore. I hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical Science from Bangalore University, INDIA.

My current interests include Project Management, Linux, OpenSource, XML (Extensible Markup Language), XP (eXtreme Programming), Agile modelling, Team Software Process and Personal Software Process.

Some of my personal favorite Open Source Projects are Mozilla. Its been configured to work with POPfile to enable spam filtering. Havent bothered about 'Sobig' and 'Mydoom' ever since. All of these run on a assembled machine with Red Hat Linux 9. Looking forward to upgrading to Fedora. GAIM, Apache, TomCat, JBoss, GNUCash, OpenOffice are my other favorites.

I am well versed in Booch Methodology, Rational Unified Process, UML 1.3 and IDEF1X modelling concepts

My job is to oversee development of applications for banks and financial institutions in the areas of Trade Finance, Deposits, Brokerage, Portfolio Management, Euro Conversions, Treasury, Money Markets, Call Money, Capital Markets, Mutual Funds and Datawarehousing

My other interests include listening to Jazz Music, Shortwave Listening, Philately, Numismatics, collecting writing instruments, Yoga and ofcourse travelling. Though its becommming increasingly difficult for me to spend time on all of these.

I do read a lot (mostly non-fiction, philosphy and the like) and would gladly exchange my reading list provided you tell me what you are currently reading. I currently live in Madras.
