Biography

[[Image:BioPhoto.jpg|right]] Derek Milan Strout was born in Bar Harbor, Maine and calls beautiful Mount Desert Island "home" no matter where he may be at the moment. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont in Burlington, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Geography. Assuming various professions over the years, he is currently a cartographer and GIS analyst.

Derek has lived in Sydney, Australia and his recent travels include:

Quebec, Montreal and Nova Scotia, Canada
The Australian Outback and Great Barrier Reef
Viti Levu, Fiji
The North Island of New Zealand
Provence and Paris, France
Monaco
