Hello! Welcome to Wikivoyage. If you want to specialize your experience you may want to consider editing your preferences. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to the whole wiki community look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thank you for your contributions to Fontainebleau. Did you take the pictures yourself, or where are they from? (WT-en) Jpatokal 06:55, 30 May 2006 (EDT)

Uploading images edit

Dear Aduvauchelle,

Instead of uploading images on this site could you upload them to the Shared_site? This makes it easier for us to maintain the images and the site. You will need to create a_Shared_user_name, but that is the exact same process as creating an image on the regular Wikivoyage. Also, if you want to get back to the regular wikivoyage site all you have to do is retype www.wikivoyage.org back into the browser's address bar.

Thanks! - (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 16:29, 5 June 2006 (EDT)

Hello! Since the Lake Arenal article you created seems to be about the volcano, and since the Arenal Volcano is located near Fortuna (Costa Rica), I've made Lake Arenal a redirect to Fortuna. See Project:What is an article? and Project:Bodies of water for the relevant policy guidelines. Also note that any content used on this site MUST be released under the CC-SA 1.0 license, so the content you used from another web site is probably not compatible with our license. Thanks very much for the contributions, however, and hopefully you can contribute more info in the Fortuna (Costa Rica) article! -- (WT-en) Ryan 16:49, 5 June 2006 (EDT)

Copyvios edit

Asuvauchelle,

It has been noticed that some of the images you have uploaded have been taken from other websites that do not have a compatible copyright policy with Wikivoyage's policy. Will you please not upload any maps, or images that you have not created and/or do not have explicit permission from the copyright holder to relicense images under the CC-BY-SA 1.0 [1]. Do feel free to upload any images you own the copyright to, but understand that those images are automatically "considered to be released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 1.0." Thanks. - (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 21:51, 6 June 2006 (EDT)
