Thank you for your very useful edits to Saint Petersburg! That airport taxi tip is, IMHO, particularly valuable. One thing that did strike me as odd, though, was your recommendation to avoid gypsy cabs in all circumstances. When I lived there in 2003, I and everyone I knew took the частники everywhere we went as a matter of course. Has this changed over the past several years? Unless there has been some sort of crime wave, I would think that the gypsy cabs are a godsend to Russian-speaking travelers on a budget. You are definitely right, in any rate, to advise against any kind of interaction with locals outside expat bars/clubs. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 15:40, 27 December 2007 (EST)
