Welcome edit

Hello, Diveaholic! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your contributions, but I'm not sure that Dive sites is a good article for us - there are literally tens of thousands of dive sites around the world, so listing all of them in one article won't work. Have a look at the Scuba diving article, which provides a high level overview, and then at some of our Travel topics, specifically articles like Diving in Thailand or Diving the Cape Peninsula and False Bay. Typically we ask new contributors to add to existing travel topics rather than create new articles, and if those articles grow too large then we can split them up. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 01:47, 9 July 2010 (EDT)

Please contact me about dive sites on Wikivoyage edit

Hi Diveaholic(s), Please contact me about contributions to Wikivoyage. Regards, (WT-en) Peter (Southwood) Talk 15:22, 23 September 2010 (EDT)

Hi Diveaholic(s), I have been working on some of the articles you have contributed to, and have used some of the text on your Open Dive site directory. There is lots of good stuff, The Phillipines sites particularly have made it necessary to start a separate article on Diving in the Philippines and if you wish to put in more detail, photos etc, go right ahead, or if you prefer, I can help. This could become a great article, but I have no personal knowledge of the region. If you can provide enough detail the individual sites can be split off as sub-articles like in Diving the Cape Peninsula and False Bay.
