Welcome

edit

Hello, Explore NZ Webmaster! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your contributions, but please note that Project:Welcome, business owners has some guidelines that are relevant to you. In particular, use of Wikivoyage for advertising purposes is strongly discouraged, and copying links for the same business to multiple articles is generally not allowed. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 17:10, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

The way to engage in discussions on Wikivoyage

edit

Hi, Explore NZ Webmaster. The best way to engage in discussions on this site is not to email users individually, but to post to the "discussion" page of the relevant travel guide. So, for example, if you want to discuss what can or should be posted to the Auckland guide and how, all you need to do is go to the Auckland guide, click "discussion," click "edit," and post a subtitle (use "==", then a space, then whatever subtitle you want to type, and then a space and "==" again) and whatever text you'd like to write at the bottom of the page. Decisions here are made based on consensus, so contacting individual users is of only limited use, whereas discussions open to all can be valuable.

All the best,
