Welcome edit

Hello!

Welcome to Wikivoyage. You can edit your preferences to change how the software works for you. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to our wiki software, MediaWiki, look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to edit a page. If you need help, check out the help desk, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. -- (WT-en) Sapphire(Talk) • 22:10, 30 April 2007 (EDT)

Nice job edit

I wanted to thank you for the great work you're doing catching spelling/wording errors. I just wanted to point out that below the summary box there is a little box that you can check off to mark the changes you make as minor. Minor changes would be spelling, formatting, fixing verb tense, or pretty much anything that doesn't add or take away information. That way, those that are watching the Special:Recentchanges page can patrol your edits easier. Keep up the great work! -- (WT-en) Fastestdogever 12:11, 6 May 2007 (EDT)

No big deal, just figured it would save you some time & effort. Do you use Firefox & its built-in spell checker? -- (WT-en) Fastestdogever 12:20, 6 May 2007 (EDT)
If you do use Firefox, you might be interested to know that there are other dictionaries that you can download. Here's the link to those. There's also an add-on (here) so you don't have to go in and change which dictionary you are using every time you switch from an Australian page to a US page - there's just a spot on the bottom of your browser to toggle back & forth. While there's no consensus of which spelling to use, overall I just try to use whatever is spoken in that area, or I go for consistency if it's somewhere like Turkey. Have a great day! -- (WT-en) Fastestdogever 12:41, 6 May 2007 (EDT)

Administrator nomination edit

I've just nominated you as a Wikivoyage administrator. See Project:Administrators for what that entails and Project:Administrator_nominations#Nominations for the discussion of your nomination. Please let us know on the latter page whether you accept. (WT-en) Pashley 23:56, 12 May 2007 (EDT)
