I live in Pretoria and have rescently toured much of South Africa. I try to include only the places that I have actually visited. Just tell me if you need a 'field agent' to revisit some places...

A friend has also toured Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia rescently, so I'll add some of her photos and knowledge. Perhaps we should make a guide Touring Africa by 4x4 ? (WT-en) Nic 12:14, 10 May 2005 (EDT)

SA Tourism Photo Library

Hi Felix - nice work, I just stumbled on WikiTravel and was proud to see Cape Town featured as Destination of the month. I added a better picture! My first WikiTravel contribution and I fear I might have stepped on some toes in the process, let me know. I updated the Previous Destinations page with the new pic.

Anyway - purpose of this message is, that you can find some great photos of South Africa at this URL: http://www.southafrica.net/image/

"Welcome to our image library, which presently consists of over 3,000 digital photos at 300 dpi, allowing print sizes of around A5 or 8x10 inches. The images may be used free of charge, provided, that they are utilized exclusively for the touristic promotion of South Africa, on free and non-commercial material and must carry the following mandatory credit below each image: "Copyright: South African Tourism". You just need to register and they you have access to their full library of some amazing photography. Well worth investigating!

Simon's Town

Hi. First off, thanks for the effort you have put in towards Wikivoyage! I was happy to see that even Simon's Town was here! However, as a resident of Simon's Town, I can tell you that "Simon's Town" is the correct spelling for our little sea-side village, rather than "Simonstown"! I see that the page Simon's Town redirects to Simonstown, but shouldn't that be reversed? I corrected some of the references to "Simonstown", but I didn't want to go too far before discussing it with you first. Keep up the good work!!! 196.11.245.33 22:49, 7 July 2006 (EDT)
