welcome! edit

Hello, Glenhenshaw! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your contributions to Southern Maryland. Most of the listings, however, belong in a city article. If one doesn't exist, feel free to create it. --(WT-en) Jonboy 21:53, 8 March 2009 (EDT) P.S. Love Stoney's!

There's a comment in the "Eat" section (which unfortunately is not visible when using the (relatively new) listings editor, which says, "<!--THIS SECTION IS FOR AN OVERVIEW OF THE REGION'S CUISINE AND ANY FOODS UNIQUE TO THE AREA. LISTINGS BELONG IN CITY ARTICLES. -->". The wording that remains for the "Eat" section now is good, and probably could be expanded. As for putting Stoney's in Prince Frederick...whoops, I forgot that it was that far away. I think I need to make another trip down there! Anyway, what we generally do if a town isn't big enough to support its own article is to put it in the closest neighboring community -- so Prince Frederick is an option, but maybe St. Leonard is, too? It may be the case that there's even room for a Broomes Island article, but if there isn't even a B&B there, probably not. Thanks for your contributions, now I'm really looking forward to crab season! --(WT-en) Jonboy 14:26, 9 March 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, back and forth on the talk pages is how it's done, unless you're having a more general discussion, in which case the talk page of the article in question (e.g. Talk:Southern Maryland) is appropriate. --(WT-en) Jonboy 22:49, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
