Hello! Welcome to Wikivoyage. You can edit your preferences to change how the software works for you. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to our wiki software, MediaWiki, look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to edit a page. If you need help, check out the help desk, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.-- (WT-en) Andrew H. (Sapphire) 17:57, 31 October 2006 (EST)

I realized that you don't know how to sign your name. All you have to do to sign your name on Wikivoyage is type ~~~~ this spits out your username and a time stamp which looks like this: (WT-en) Cacahuate 06:43, 28 November 2006 (EST)

Thx, had heard that somewhere but forgotten how it was done...(WT-en) Jake73 15:50, 28 November 2006 (EST)

Would you please upload images to Wikivoyage Shared? Uploading to Shared allows our other language versions to use the same images. -- (WT-en) Andrew H. (Sapphire) 12:50, 7 December 2006 (EST)

Yellow and blue flags

Nice to see other Swedes here, improving the entries for our cities. Gothenburg seems to be good as it is, but the others can use some improvement, I think. -- (WT-en) Metaur 18:49, 11 December 2006 (EST)

Thanks for your contributions, but I need to point out we only use the quickbar on country articles. Thanks. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 16:20, 18 December 2006 (EST)

Although, taking another look at this one it "might" qualify. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 16:22, 18 December 2006 (EST)
I think it does. St Helena has a quickbar, and Tristan has one on Wikipedia.(WT-en) Jake73 16:49, 18 December 2006 (EST)
Yes, you are correct! Let's leave the quickbar. Although, we don't always do what Wikipedia does. While I am here I would like to thank you for all the contributions you are making and the photos you have supplied. Keep up the good work. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 08:12, 11 January 2007 (EST)

I'm afraid the Calcutta map is probably not PD -- please see wts:Votes for deletion#January 2007. (WT-en) Jpatokal 12:58, 11 January 2007 (EST)

Thanks a ton for the great work you've been doing on Wikivoyage. Favor to ask, though: could you note on Talk:Palestinian Territories why you removed the warning box about kidnappings? --(WT-en) evanp 10:27, 12 January 2007 (EST)

yeah, me too! You've been adding a lot of good stuff lately, keep up the good work! (WT-en) ::: Cacahuate 07:06, 25 January 2007 (EST)

Got a small problem. This (terrific) image is in danger of being deleted owing to the need for a "model release" when an image shows a recognizable person. (See Project:Privacy rights for details.) Do you have such a release? If so, please add language to the Wikivoyage Shared page immediately, as the image is overdue for action. If you don't, it's going to have to go -- most unfortunately, because it's a fantastic shot. Same also applies for the "Congo drums" image. Please advise, and keep those marvelous photos coming, just get the releases where needed... -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 23:13, 20 February 2007 (EST)
