Welcome edit

Greetings, Jersey Guy! Welcome to Wikivoyage. You can edit your preferences to change how the software works for you. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to our wiki software, MediaWiki, look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to edit a page. If you need help, check out the help desk, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for the contributions to New Jersey. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 23:39, 25 November 2006 (EST)

NYPD edit

Thanks for your edits, but please discuss any warnings against the NYPD on Talk:New York (city)#NYPD. Despite police misdeeds (and I live in LA, which has had more than its share) I don't think most travelers need a warning about the police forces in America - the police are helpful FAR more often than they are a problem, and for anyone being stopped by police anywhere in the world it is generally common sense that you do what you're told and straighten out misunderstandings later. I'm worried that this topic is too controversial, and we generally try to take a neutral point of view on issues that aren't important to travelers. -- (WT-en) Ryan 22:11, 27 November 2006 (EST)

Paterson edit
