Hello!
Welcome to Wikivoyage. You can edit your preferences to change how the software works for you. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to our wiki software, MediaWiki, look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to edit a page. If you need help, check out the help desk, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. (WT-en) - Cacahuate 21:48, 25 February 2007 (EST)
Tip
editCheck out Project:What is an article? to figure out what kinds of things we do or don't want articles about. For example, we want an article for Saint Louis not the Gateway Arch -- but the Arch should be covered in the Saint Louis article. -- (WT-en) Colin 15:08, 3 April 2007 (EDT)
Number of cities
editTo avoid turning every region and country article into a never-ending list of every city in the country or region, we've decided on a somewhat (but not completely) arbitrary limit of no more than nine items for these lists. I know it's not easy (and maybe impossible to do fairly), but please try to pick a sample of nine representative and popular destinations when you create a list of this sort. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 15:39, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
