Welcome edit

Hello RzR! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are having trouble with some of the terms being used, check out the jargon page.

Thank you for contributing to Tenerife, Canary Islands and others. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 11:27, 3 September 2006 (EDT)

Wikivoyage Press edit

Yes, I'm the guy behind the print engine for the Press, but it does things the hard way by using LaTeX. The engine is already fairly complete, but in no shape to be released though... (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:45, 23 August 2007 (EDT)

Worldwide Campsite List Impractical? edit

Do you think it's possible or practical to create a list and map of ALL the camping sites worldwide? I think our Camping page is the best way to address this topic. Specific country or region articles are much more useful and practical for campers, I think. Even the article Camping in the United States is a daunting, because there are so many camping options. If more people contribute to the page, I think eventually each state will probably have its own camping article, and that would probably be a good thing for travellers.

If you are familiar with camping sites in South Africa, then perhaps it would be better to create a Camping in South Africa page.

I am going to add this article to the votes for deletion to see what others think. (WT-en) ChubbyWimbus 14:03, 13 September 2009 (EDT)
