Welcome edit

Hello, Suzieqmom! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thank you for your contributions, but note two important Wikivoyage guidelines: first, lists should in general not exceed nine items. To change a list that has nine items already please first discuss on the talk page - see the official guideline for further details. Second, please place listings for individual attractions in the appropriate city article, not the country article -- see this guideline for the reasoning. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 16:06, 29 November 2010 (EST)

Hi Suzi - with three exceptions your edits have not been changed. I removed your addition of Oranjestad to the "Cities" section of the Caribbean article since that list already has nine cities listed. The "talk" page of an article is explained at Project:Using talk pages - for the Caribbean article the talk page is Talk:Caribbean, and if you'd like to change the cities listed you can make a proposal on that page. The same goes for North America, where Great Lakes was removed from the "Other destinations" section since there are already nine destinations listed (see Talk:North America#Other Destinations for the existing discussion that led to those nine items being selected).
Your edit to the Mexico article was removed because individual businesses generally shouldn't be listed in a country article - instead, find the appropriate city article and include the resort there. Your edits to Niagara Falls (Ontario) and elsewhere all looked good, however, and have not been changed in any way.
Thanks again for contributing! -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 16:58, 29 November 2010 (EST)
