Hello, 150.101.89.130! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Indeed, isolated - please offer a source for your assertion, although this is not wp en - it would be useful to see where your assertion is sourced, as there is a lot of rubbish in the Perth article that is asserted as you have just done. That doesnt make it a fact just because you assert as such. sats (talk) 02:09, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Just Google it mate and then tell me I'm wrong. --150.101.89.130 02:12, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Not sure where you are coming from - on wp en WP:V and a few other issues, require some effort on asserting information. If you are so sure that oggling it asserts the information, at least help fellow voyage editors the pain by leaving your assertion on the perth talk page, so there is no confusion later on for other editors... as to whether anything is right or wrong, hmmm

Most of the Perth article is a mess... an assertion without a note somewhere doesnt help. sats (talk) 02:22, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

I already left the figures on the Perth discussion page mate. You're welcome to check my figures yourself and come back and tell me if Auckland is not number one and Perth number two. Who do you think are the other contenders? --150.101.89.130 02:29, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh well maybe your style and the way you leave the info on voyage seems sufficient . what i was asking for was more than the assertion, more a specific website/source that allays further suspicions down the line for other editors down the line, but if you think your assertion is ok, so be it. sats (talk) 02:35, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
A lot of stuff you find on the Internet is just re-cycled urban myth, but we're talking hard numbers here. The only vague thing is what you pick as the population point for a "large city". Thanks for the "welcome" by the way. --150.101.89.130 02:41, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Welcome is also to encourage you to register as a user. As for the rest, I rest my case - see how the others respond to your style of editing. Also replying to a 7 year old talk point is a no-brainer btw sats (talk) 02:57, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Eyre Highway: Nullarbor Plain

get a handle on less grandiose claims - the Perth to Adelaide route is not sweltering desert for the length of the route by any means. The placing of thing like in the voyage article about Perth is of no actual help to anyone and actually further raises the doubt about the validity of the article when items like that remain unchallenged. Please read the introduction material about what voyage is about before placing further claims. Definitely not providing incorrect information. sats (talk) 03:11, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well, it certainly isn't sweltering if you travel in winter and not a desert like the erg of the Sahara if you sail rather than take the Eyre Highway. What's your best description for those not familiar with the route? It's hardly a vineyard route going through orchards and meadows is it? Look it's really too hot today to argue the toss, mate - this is a wiki, so just put some appropriate wording forward on the article's discussion page and I'm sure we can improve the article together. --150.101.89.130 03:28, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Eyre highway is not the total perth to adelaide trip - and is always skewed to the relatively over-generalised section between eucla and ceduna... norseman to balladonia is forested for damn sakes. To make any claim about the trip in a lead sentence to Perth is a furphy anyways. sats (talk) 03:42, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
