Hello, Chris1515! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thank you for all the work you are doing! One thing to note is that we have a hard limit of nine for lists of cities and "other destinations"—once we reach nine, no more cities. If you would like to change a cities list that already has 9 cities, please propose your change in advance on the talk page. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 05:23, 29 July 2009 (EDT)

Another thing to note—the "other destinations" section is for only non-municipality destinations. Places like national parks, Disneyland, etc. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 06:08, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
Yeah, thanks again for cleaning up orphans and broken breacrumb trails. Since you're a Londoner, would you be interested to take a look at Talk:London#Districts_2? It's a lot to digest, but it would be great to have the input of a local, and we really need to clean up the London districts mess. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 12:15, 30 July 2009 (EDT)
Ah, I also forgot to mention that we relax the 9 cities rule at the very bottom of the regions hierarchy—every municipality should be linked in some article. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 12:18, 30 July 2009 (EDT)

London districts

edit

A huge thank you for the input—enormously helpful. I've responded and also started a discussion on the outer boroughs, which should be simpler to sort out. I'd appreciate your thoughts there as well. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 13:46, 7 August 2009 (EDT)

Provinces

edit

Style note -- province should not be capitalized when used as a disambig, so it's just Arezzo (province). (WT-en) Jpatokal 11:36, 20 August 2009 (EDT)

London cotm

edit

Since you were so instrumental in making the London cotm our most successful collaboration of all time, I thought you might like to look over the results. Thanks again for your help! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 14:13, 1 January 2010 (EST)

UserMerge

edit

Hi Chris, I see you added a UserMerge request. We need some sort of confirmation, though, that you are the same person! If you log on to Wikitravel and mention on your user page that you contribute to Wikimedia projects using the same username, I can then verify your identity and merge your accounts.

Welcome back! --Peter Talk 19:37, 19 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
