Selamat Datang, Ditz! Glad to have you aboard. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:29, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot. Any idea how is the image policy in Wikivoyage. For example, can I put in a transit route map published by a bus company for public use? I'm thinking the information on some new BRT systems in Indonesian cities, which might be helpful to travellers, are still quite lacking.Ditz (talk) 20:06, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, Ditz. I'm thinking, probably not, but it depends on what kind of copyright the bus company uses for their maps. Have a look at Wikivoyage:Copyleft. The image policy page is here: Wikivoyage:Image policy. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:42, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, I am following up on the above question. I have a preliminary self-made map of Semarang's Trans Semarang bus system based on publicly available data. Where can I put it so that people can give suggestions etc. Then when it's done, am I supposed to put it in wikivoyage or also in Wikimedia commons? Thank you and I appreciate if somebody can point me in the right direction. Ditz (talk) 11:46, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
- You could put it up in a sub-page of your user page, link it in the Pub, and solicit comments on its talk page. I assume it should be uploaded on Commons, as I think the only images that are uploaded locally at Wikivoyage are copyrighted images that are of special importance for travel but not uploadable to Commons per their policies.
