Hello, Hoverfish! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Re:Your website

edit

Hi there. Well, what you read is correct: we only link to official websites for destinations and establishments. Your site does seem to have a lot of interesting information that is relevant to the traveller, but the thing is that we want any potential travel-relevant information to be here, rather than linked to from here. While it won't be possible to link to your site, if you are the author of that website, you are welcome to contribute some or all of its content to the Montevideo article we have here, effectively relicensing it under our Creative Commons license (in which case it is best to put a note on the talk page there stating that you own the rights to the material from that website and are re-releasing it as such). Hope this helps! Texugo (talk) 11:22, 30 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
