A kind of apple wine: not a travel topic. Article apparently created because someone left the name linked, Wikipedia-style. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 19:56, 19 May 2007 (EDT)

I have no idea what or where this is, but it doesn't sound like an article. "Content" (I use that loosely) might be worth rescuing if somebody can figure out where it could go... (WT-en) Jpatokal 05:21, 20 May 2007 (EDT)

This user uploaded a lot of images, most of which appear to be copyvios, and none of which a license was selected for. Ryan left the user a note on his talk page last year, but the user never contributed again under that name. Many of them are tiny and not that useful anyhow.

This was speedy-deleted on the grounds that it's not a destination, but being that it's a ski resort and we've kept other ski-resort articles, I've restored it and would like to see our rigorous process applied. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 10:09, 8 May 2007 (EDT)

  • It might be a free-standing destination, depending on how remote and how extensive it is. I assume You Can Sleep There, but if it's within day-trip distance of Melbourne and/or just a single lodging, I'd put it as a "Do" item there and redirect. Unfortunately the article doesn't give any real clues, does it? - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 11:53, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
  • I've done a bit more poking around, and my sources imply that you cannot sleep there; the nearest lodging appears to be in somewhere called Warburton. However, Mount Donna Buang definitely qualifies as an "attraction" along the lines of other ski areas that don't justify articles themselves. The indicated path forward seems to be to create a Warburton stub, and redirect this one there. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 21:43, 30 May 2007 (EDT)

It's time to seriously reorganise Chicagoland. It seems to me that these county articles might make sense in a guide for locals who know all about the county boundries, etc. however they are not terribly useful for the traveller. If the counties are mentioned at all it should be in a geographical exposition in Chicagoland.

I'm definitely supportive of not using counties as regions, but given the famousness of this one it might be worth keeping as a redirect. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 11:18, 25 May 2007 (EDT)
Famous or not the page has sat empty for several years, and I think it's a good part of why Chicagoland has been stagnant, since nobody has wanted to undertake a county-by-county exposition of the suburbs. -- (WT-en) Mark 05:57, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
Redirect. I'm from that continent but not that region. I've never been closer to Chicago than its airport. I recognise "Cook county" but had never heard of Chicagoland until I saw the page here. I think that means some people might search for Cook county, so there should be a redirect. (WT-en) Pashley 06:25, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
Good point. I've done it. -- (WT-en) Mark 15:30, 27 May 2007 (EDT)

The situation here is similar to that of Cook County above. There is no real information on the page, and all of the cities included are linked out from Chicagoland.

Kankakee County is no Cook County, but a redirect to Kankakee wouldn't hurt. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 09:54, 27 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Delete - An airfield. --(WT-en) NJR_ZA 10:29, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Keep, although it needs to be formatted properly. It's 100 km away from Frankfurt and features hotels etc, so it's a sleepable destination. (WT-en) Jpatokal 10:56, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Keep. I suppose technically it's an article for the village of Hahn, which just happens to have a commercial airport which is the main focus of the article. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 18:21, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Keep as Hahn (the village with an airfield) (WT-en) WindHorse 09:39, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
  • Keep - for reasons above. I've added a city template and moved the airfield info into the Get In section, as a start. (WT-en) WTDuck2 10:46, 7 June 2007 (EDT)

  • Delete covered with a huge logo for one of the accomodation options on Flores, and we've already got a similar aerial shot of the island anyhow. (WT-en) cacahuate talk 04:22, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
The uploader is the owner of the guesthouse in question, so I've put the image on her userpage and removed it from the Flores article. So, no need to delete  :) (WT-en) cacahuate talk 01:59, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Keep, with Cacahuate's modification -- and with significant misgivings. This gets into a murky area that we're going to have to address at some point: how to handle user-page content that's not in line with article content guidelines? But in the absence of clarity there, the copyvio issue seems to have gone away, at least. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 09:46, 12 June 2007 (EDT)

He uploaded one that turned out out to be legal (except the fraudulent claim to be PD), and another that he uploaded to Wikipedia as well, and appears to be original by him. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 13:03, 28 May 2007 (EDT)

  • I've deleted most of these, but Image:Pir Ghaib.jpg, which is taken from the Flickr site, appears to be released into the public domain on Flickr, if I understand the blurb there correctly. Could one of you folks who know more about Flickr than I look into that? As far as I can tell, that one can be retained, and it's a nice photo. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 09:51, 13 June 2007 (EDT)

  • Delete, after merging hotel content into something appropriate. Keep for the moment. I've changed my mind on this. Tel Aviv poses some curious problems fitting into our usual hierarchy, in that it is a not-terribly-large city (under 400,000) that would normally not need districts at all, but it's the centerpiece of a definitely huge metropolitan area (Gush Dan -- 3M, I think) that isn't well developed yet in terms of articles here. On reflection I think it would be best to keep this district until we make sense out of the entire Gush Dan complex of articles and articles-to-be. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 09:56, 12 June 2007 (EDT)
