Should we make redirects for IATA codes when the codes are assigned to railway stations?
editWikipedia tells me that there are some railway stations that have IATA codes - many are stations that share codes with airports, but there are dozens that stand alone. Should we be redirecting these to the appropriate article sections?
(For example, the closest railway station to IATA's headquarters has a IATA code, despite being 19km from the nearest airport. Should we redirect YMY to Montreal#By_train and add the IATA tag to Montreal Central Station?)

- Railway station IATA codes are often very obscure. At some point there won't be any combination of three capital letters that doesn't redirect somewhere... Hobbitschuster (talk) 10:27, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- If it is an IATA code for a rail station then yes, but be careful a number of countries have 3 letter codes for rail stations which are not the IATA code and will in many cases clash with an actual airport somewhere else in the world. --Traveler100 (talk) 10:51, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
- I doubt we'll be making pages for all TLAs - after all, large military airfields have IATA codes and it's so rare that a tourist would get in through one of those airfields that there's no point listing them. And, yes, I plan to make redirects only for the railway station TLAs listed on the Wikipedia page linked in my original entry here. --Robkelk (talk) 00:11, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
