Sporting events - Euro 2020 edit

Swept in from the pub

Apologies if this has been asked previously. I recently noticed that we have past event pages for Euro 2008 and Euro 2012, the 2018 FIFA World Cup and previous Olympic Games (as well as the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games) but not Euro 2020. As this is a pan-European event and fans will be deciding on where to apply for tickets in the next few months, this seems like an unfortunately omission. To my mind, not only would this be useful for fans considering applying for tickets but it would also provide a good springboard for improving articles related to the host cities.

Before setting up the page, I wanted to check that the community hadn't made a decision not to create a page for the event, which I had missed. Otherwise, I will set up the new page using the same format as previous events. --Dan4708 (talk) 12:00, 10 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Great idea! Please plunge ahead. There's no policy against it. Ground Zero (talk) 12:07, 10 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

See Talk:Baku. If we want to use this file it should be copied to Wikivoyage and used according to our EDP, preferably very soon, as it is a hassle to ask for undeletion to be able to copy it. --LPfi (talk) 07:53, 24 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
