Melbourne

edit

I copied a lot of links from Special:Wantedpages to this page. I figure that if there are 21 links to Melbourne, say, we should probably have an article about it. -- (WT-en) Evan 12:05, 4 Nov 2003 (PST)

Common scams

edit

Good thing those Common scams. I was also thinking of lists (or tables) for vaccinations and visas (like which nationalities need visas for which countries). But a table like that would be huge. Any ideas? (WT-en) D.D. 13:25, 4 Nov 2003 (PST)

Articles about bodies of water

edit

Summary of the recent edit: Austria - we don't generally have articles about bodies of water. Yes, not generally. There are just some: Lake Titicaca, de:Titicaca-See, de:Bodensee, de:Loch Ness, Loch Lomond and maybe some more. More confusing: The article Lake Constance ("Bodensee" in German) already exists ;-) --(WT-en) Roland2 06:15, 8 Dec 2005 (EST)

Yes, I know, but there's not much I can do about the German version. I just want to keep that practice from spilling over here to the English version where the consensus has been to not have articles about bodies of water. Instead we have articles about those destinations which have access to the body of water. -- (WT-en) Mark 07:46, 8 Dec 2005 (EST)

These are some English articles: Lake Constance, Lake Toba, Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, Pakhal Lake, Lake Titicaca, Lake George, Lake Balaton, Loch Lomond, Indian Ocean (R), ... Seems there is a gap between theory and practice. ;-) --(WT-en) Roland2 07:56, 8 Dec 2005 (EST)

Interesting.. Perhaps the Project:Bodies of water policy has not stuck. Or perhaps some of these are regions, as per the policy, and some of them are just wrong. -- (WT-en) Mark 08:27, 8 Dec 2005 (EST)
Thanks. Because of your hint I discovered the the corresponding German page of Project:Bodies of water. --(WT-en) Roland2 09:01, 8 Dec 2005 (EST)

Redirect?

edit

This article seems a bit useless to me... shouldn't it just redirect to Project:Plunge forward? – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 23:01, 23 November 2007 (EST)

That would make sense to me—the way a wiki works is: see room for improvement, and improve it yourself. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 00:48, 24 November 2007 (EST)
Bump! And ditto Project:Requests for images, Project:Requests for maps (redirect to Project:How to draw a map) and Project:Requests for phrasebooks. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 18:41, 3 August 2009 (EDT)
I also don't see what this article adds to Wikivoyage. One can make an outline immediately. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 11:35, 4 April 2010 (EDT)
It sounds like we have some consensus for converting this article to a redirect. If anyone feels differently, now would be a good time to speak up. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 15:00, 4 April 2010 (EDT)
