editSeveral train lines go through Fuchu.
- Keio Line: Run from Shinjuku to Fuchu. The faster Tokkyu (特急) and Jun-Tokkyu (準特急) trains make trip in 20 minutes and cost ¥320.
- JR Nanbu Line: Takes about 50 min from Kawasaki to Fuchu-honmachi (府中本町).
- JR Chuo Line: Takes about 60 min from Tokyo station to Fuchu-honmachi via Nishi-kokubunji (西国分寺).

edit- 1 Ohkunitama Shrine (大國魂神社), Miyamachi 3-1, ☏ +81 42-362-0092. One of the oldest shrines in Tokyo. Kurayami Matsuri (night festival) is famous. Six large drums. Eight omikoshi (small shrines).

edit- 1 Tokyo Racecourse (東京競馬場), Hiyoshicho 1-1 (from Shinjuku, take the Keio Kyuko to Higashi-Fuchu, and change for the shuttle train to the racecourse; 43 minutes and ¥320), ☏ +81 42-363-3141. Japan's largest horse racing facility. Home to several prestigious Grade 1 events including the Yasuda Kinen and Japan Cup races. Racing on weekends only, generally late January-February, May-June and October-November, though you may bet on video races on other weekends. There is also a Horseracing Museum near the grandstand (no additional fees required). Has many eateries inside which are a bit more expensive than normal - instead, you may bring in your food. The facility is served by the Fuchu-Keiba-Seimonmae Station (府中競馬正門前) of the Keio Line, where shuttle trains run to and from Higashi-Fuchu Station (東府中). \200 (meeting day only).

editBetween the station and the shrine is Fuchu's main shopping area.
- 1 Kururu Mall (くるる), ☏ +81 42-368-0966. Small shopping mall.
- Mitten Fuchu/Foris (ミッテン府中、フォーリス) (between the station and the shrine). Large shopping complex which replaced Isetan in 2019. Has a food court on the first floor, restaurants on upper floors, and futsal courts run by the local pro team FC Tokyo on the top.
- Musashi Fuchu Le Signe (武蔵府中ル・シーニュ) (connected to the station by a pedestrian deck, B1-4F). Opened in 2017.
