Moultrie is a city of 15,000 people in southwestern Georgia. It is the county seat of Colquitt County and self-described "Antique Capital of South Georgia." It rather surprisingly even has a medical school satellite campus (PCOM) where one could get a DO degree.

It's about 20 miles due west of I-75, and US Route 319 provides a direct link to both it and Tallahassee to the south.

  • 1 Reed Bingham State Park, 542 Reed Bingham Rd, Adel, +1 229 896-3551. Daily 8AM-5PM. At this park, you can hike the 3.5 mile Coastal Plains Nature Trail as it traverses a bald cypress swamp, sandhill area, and pitcher plant bog with boardwalks and Spanish moss-draped trees. There are also canoe, kayak, and bicycle rentals and even a miniature golf course. $5.
